The Bengal Cat
The Bengal cat is a cross between domestic cats and the wild Asian Leopard cat.
Bengal cats combine many of the majestic physical features of Asian leopard cats with the lovable personalities of domestic house cats. Their appearance is startling at first, and will be the topic of conversations with your friends. If you are fascinated by rare and unique personalities, you will undoubtedly enjoy the companionship of a Bengal.
If you appreciate the unusual, a Bengal cat may be an excellent choice for you. Don't be surprised the first time your Bengal joins you in the bath, or when you first discover it lying in royal posture, surveying its kingdom from some almost inaccessibly high vantage point. Bengals typically are not aggressive pets, but if you expect to find an inanimate couch potato in the beautiful colours and patterns of a Bengal, you will be disappointed. As in other breeds, each animal is endowed with its own personality.
